Garden cleanup and palm trimming

Association maintenance staff spent Monday on the common-area gardens, trimming the palms and clearing the planted strips along the perimeter.

Palms get cut back for two reasons beyond appearance. The dead fronds come down in the first real wind of the season, and the seed stalks feed the rodents that then move into the walls of whatever is nearest.

This is ordinary upkeep paid from the monthly dues, not from the electrical infrastructure fund.
