Broken street lamp replaced

A street lamp has been replaced after the fixture head broke away from its mounting arm. Until it was taken down it hung from the pole by its conductor alone, directly over a walkway.

Association maintenance staff removed the broken unit and installed a new head on the existing pole.

This is the second lamp replaced in ten days. The one between casas 30 and 31 had burnt out; this one failed mechanically at the arm. Both come back to the same cause — the salt air corrodes the hardware faster than the lamp itself wears out, which is why the office is now working through the lamps as a list rather than one call at a time.
